Dave Zagar Trio is competing against other bands in a contest called Maurices Hometown Sound. The winning band will be sent to L.A. to shoot a music video, and have the opportunity to play at South By Southwest this coming March!
The first round is based strictly on voting, so please click this link and help the band by casting your vote! You can vote once per day, and the contest ends January 23rd. DZ3 is proud to represent their home town of Muskegon in this small town band competition!

Album Release Date

The Dave Zagar Trio is excited to announce that Caught in a Melodramatic Trance will be released on June 7th! The album will be available on iTunes, Amazon MP3, and CD.
The first record release show will be at Pints & Quarts in Muskegon, Michigan on Friday, June 10th at 8PM. The CD will of course be available for sale there. We hope to see you there!

Here is some new information regarding the upcoming release of the album:
1. The band will be releasing the album under the name "Dave Zagar Trio."
2. The album will feature 13 tracks, not 12 (as originally indicated).
3. The recording process is complete and the album is currently being mixed & mastered. Stay tuned for the release date.
4. The band is in the process of booking record release shows. Stay tuned for those dates.

Dave, Andy, and Laura began will begin recording their first full-length studio album in December. The title is yet to be determined, and the album is set to be completed by early 2011. Check back here for progress updates including videos, photos, and other studio news.
